Fendi HandbagsFendi handbags began in 1918 when Adele Casagrande opened a high quality fur and leather shop in central Rome. Later, the name of her shop became Fendi due to her marriage to Edoardo Fendi in 1925. After the death of Edoardo in 1954, his five daughters Paola, Carla, Anna, Franca and Alda began running the Fendi company which can now be qualified as a family dynasty. German designer Karl Lagerfeld joined the company soon after and is widely known for his dramatic fur collections since the early 1960’s. However, he is most well known for designing the ever so popular double F pattern also known as the Zucca print or Zucchino print found on many Fendi products. Later, Fendi added accessories to their product lines which include handbags, gloves, lighters, pens, glasses and fragrances. Today Fendi is run by the Louis Vuitton and Moet Henessey (LVMH) Group. The most well known styles of handbags are the Spy Bag, the B Bag and the Embellished Bucket Bag.
