1) Most of us like to shop on Ebay to find a killer deal. If you're intending to buy a Gucci handbag on Ebay proceed with caution.
Although Ebay
does not allow or condone the sales of replica designer handbags, there are many sellers out there who will still try to beat the system and
get away with it.
Make sure you look at the seller's feedback history. You can get a lot of information there first. If they have sold a
replica Gucci handbag before and
have been caught, it will most likely appear in their feedback history.
Also, if the seller is selling more than one item of the exact same style, this should be a red flag. Make sure you ask plenty of questions and ask for a lot
of photos. If they can produce a receipt, that would be even better.
2) Be careful where you purchase your bag. It's always best to buy your Gucci handbag from an authorized dealer
 if possible.
But if you buy it second hand or even at a boutique, make sure to look for the signs listed below first. Some boutiques, just like some sellers
on Ebay, will try to pawn off a replica Gucci bag as the real thing.

4) There is no such thing as the double G logo.
Some of the latest fake styles of Gucci bear a double G logo which is similar to the double C logo of Coach. Gucci does not
make this logo style. If you see this, calmly step away from the bag!
5)Examine the Contollato Card.
Even some fake Gucci bags will have a Controllato card. Some will be perfect replicas of what
they should look like,
while others will be way off or even just slightly off.
The only thing you can really look for on a Controllato Card is the spelling and placement of the words.
The Controllato Card should have 'GUCCI' in all caps centered at the top and below that should read 'controllato' in all
lower case letters. At the bottom, it should read '1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 0'. The back of the card should be blank.
6) Every Gucci handbag carries a serial number on the inside of the purse.
It is usually found on the inside of the bag just below the interior
zippered pocket and if the bag does not have an inside pocket then it should appear where the inside pocket should be.
The tag should be
leather and stamped on the top should be a capital letter R with a circle around it.
Just below that sign, should be 'GUCCI' in all caps and below that 'made in italy'.
On the back of this tag you should find the serial number. It will first read the style or model number and then below that you will find the serial
number which should be 4 to 6 digits long.
7) The most obvious tip is to make sure you check the overall quality of your bag.
The stitching should have no loose threads or missing stitches. The interior lining
should be made from top quality material and should lay properly.
Your Gucci bag should look and feel like a work of art and not cheap and flimsy like a knock off would.
