What a great success story founders of Juicy Couture, Gela Nash-Taylor and Pamela Skaist-Levy have!

They started their business in 1997 with only $200 and lots of hard work.

All the sweat and tears sure did pay off though because in 2003 the Liz Claiborne Co. bought the company for a cool $53 million plus a percentage of future sales.

And, what Fashion Diva doesn’t love living in a Juicy World? The clothing, handbags, shoes and watches they offer are so cool, fun, and girly and best of all totally affordable.

An interesting tidbit: the company does no market research to find out what will and will not sell.

Gela and Pamela simply design clothes, handbags, shoes and watches that they themselves would like to wear. Now there’s a novel idea! No wonder they?re so successful.

Juicy typically has 3 types of handbags:

1. Velour & Terry,
2. Leather,
3. Canvas & Nylon.

I love every one of them but I'll admit my favorite is the Velour & Terry style which consists of the cute & fanicful DayDreamer line.

One of the newest in the line is the Peace Sign Day Dreamer Bag. Great for those carefree days of summer.

If you love the hippy flower child look, then you might like this new Zoe Embroidered No Drama Bag. It's also in the Daydreamer line and comes in ivory and black.

Hey, here's a little known fact for all you 80's rock lovers out there: Gela Nash-Taylor is married to John Taylor the bassist for Duran Duran. He actually designs the logos for the JC men's line. --- Now you're smarter!

As far as the Leather line, one of the newest and, in my opinion, cutest is the Leather China Bag. It's ultra sheek and classy.

The Canvas and Nylon Totes are great bags for toting all your stuff. My favorite is the Nice Girls Who Like Stuff Tote. The name says it all! Love it!
