Purse Party Invitation Tips:
Here are some great little tips for sending out purse party invitations.
Many of them are just plain old common sense but I try to remember to do each one every time I send out invitations to my purse parties.
- Always invite about double the number of people you are planning for. So, if you want a group of 15, invite 30.
Usually only half are able to attend anyway….don’t take it personally, this is normal.
- This is their first glimpse of the purse party so make a good first impression and make it fun.
Make sure the writing is easy to read and if you have a theme use invitations to match your theme.
If sending out paper invitations, you could use a pretty colored pen.
- There are so many options for invitations out there nowadays.
You can keep it really simple by just going to a card store and picking up some really cute paper invitations to send in the mail.
Try to stick with theme of the party if you can.
- Something to consider, a lot of people love sending out invitations with confetti in the envelopes so that the receiver dumps a handful of confetti on the floor while pulling out the invitation.
Maybe this is fun for the sender, but remember a lot of people get annoyed with having to clean up a mess just after being invited to a party.
Don’t start off on the wrong foot!
- You can also go the internet route and send invitations through Evite which is sooo easy.
Just go to their website to check out their selection. So many cute invitations to choose from!
Then just follow the super easy directions to send invitations. All you have to do is fill out the form and click to send.
- Make sure you send no more than a month in advance and include a space for them to RSVP.
- Make sure you tell them the duration of the party…usually 2 hours tops- so they know what to expect and can plan for a babysitter if needed.
- Don’t forget to include a map. Don’t give them any excuse for not showing up!
- Offer a prize to anyone who brings a guest along with them and make sure this is clear in the invitation. The more the merrier!
- Ask them bring to their old purses and offer to take them to a local charity later.
This will keep the excitement going and will be a great reminder that they need to get rid of that old bag and buy a new one!....At your purse party of course!
- In the invitation, make sure you include the price range of the purses you will have available.
Sometimes, a guest may be gun shy to confirm if she thinks she has to spend $100 on a purse. But if she knows what to expect, she will more likely attend.
- It’s a good idea to call your guests a week or a couple of days in advance just as a reminder and to confirm. Also, they are less likely to ‘forget'.
