Great Appetizer Recipes for a Great Purse Party!
Make sure you have plenty of food for your purse party, but forewarn your guests on the invitations that light snacks will be served. That way they will know to expect food but not a complete dinner menu.
It’s a good idea to stay away from greasy foods or anything messy. The last thing you want is greasy fingerprints all over your pretty purse display! You may want to station your food set up in the kitchen and your purse display in the living room to encourage the commonly known law of 'separation of food and purse.' Now, check out some of these tried and true recipes. These have all been huge purse party favorites!
Tomato Basil Squares Talk about Yummy! My mom introduced this one to me and I think I could eat a whole pan full if given the opportunity…that’s how much I love it! It’s pretty easy to make and it is simply DELICIOUS!!!! -Mix above 4 ingredients together with remaining 1 cup of Mozzarella cheese Arrange tomatoes over Mozzarella on crust. Scoop cheese mixture over tomatoes and spread evenly. Bake at 375 degrees for 15-20 minutes (until top is golden brown & bubbley) Serve warm. Makes about 20 servings.
Artichoke Dip
This dip goes great with baked pita chips. Another one of my all time favorites!
Makes about 1 1/2 cups. Bacon Puffs These are simple to make and very tasty! This recipe calls for Cheddar cheese but you can use Mozzarella or any other cheese you prefer.

Roll up and close with tooth picks. Stand rolls on edge on a rack in a shallow baking pan. Bake at 400° 20 minutes, or until lightly browned. Serve hot. Makes 12 appetizer puffs. Toss the sweet potato wedges in olive oil and sea salt and roast in a single layer for 25-35 minutes at 400 degrees F until lightly browned and fork tender. Remove and mash, then mix in rosemary and goats cheese and sea salt to taste. Form into small balls and saute in a little olive oil until lightly browned on the outside. Serve warm.
